I am a calendar aficionado, as many of my friends will tell you. I am less concerned with time than I am with the graphics. Birds, desert flowers, Ansel Adams, antique maps, dogs, national parks, movie posters, the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, all have been the subjects of calendars gracing my walls over the years. I had been wanting to put together a calendar of my own photography for at least twenty years, but it wasn't until November of 2004 that I finally took the plunge and took my PDF's to Staples to get it done. They did a creditable job, but I would have liked to have the option of putting my own information into the date boxes: important dates to me, since it was MY calendar, after all. They also put the Staples logo on each page, but I didn't mind that so much. So, there was a 2005 "San Diego County" calendar, with all photographs having been taken within San Diego County, and with my then-new Nikon D100 digital SLR. But I guess I got distracted or something, and there was no 2006 or 2007 calendar. As of 2021 there have been no calendars after 2010. But I judt discovered that the 2010 days of the week are the same as in 2021... |
